Broken Vessels' First Annual Homecoming was held in Chatom, AL May 7, 2011 and Carthage, TX June 4, 2011.
Homecoming was held in Chatom, AL and Carthage, TX because Scott was raised in Chatom, and Lisa in Carthage. The same lineup of talent was at both events, with some suprise guests added. The Weston Hinson Group, William Boyd Chisum, Jimmy & Debbie Roberts, and Steve Roberson were the featured guests at Homecoming 2011. Each group did a magnificent job at both events.
Paul McVay was our guest Emcee, and Chris Morris blessed the audience with a few songs at the Chatom Homecoming. Also, there were some fantastic musicians there: Tim Roberts, Don Welborn, Stoney Barbee, Gary Moore, and Robby Smith. New Life Fellowship Church was the host church.
Northside Christian Center was host for the Texas Homecoming. A group from the Carthage area, Blessed Country Praise, were special guests. "Uncle" Randy Ortigo played Steel and Lead Guitar throughout the night. Lewis Anderson also made a guest appearance during the finale of the night.
We would like to thank Pastors Danny Wilson and Aaron Bequette for hosting Homecoming 2011. Everyone in the host churches went above and beyond the call of duty to ensure a succesful night. New Life Fellowship and Northside Christian Center Youth groups worked the concessions. The proceeds went to projects that they are currently working on. Thank You to everyone who purchased something from these Youth groups. Also Thank You to Mr. Jerry Hanszen (KGAS 104.3FM) for the great radio interview.
(Please visit these great groups' websites and book them in Your area. I promise You will be blessed by their ministries. We enjoyed having them at our first anual Homecoming.)
A Live Album of Homecoming 2011 will be released June 21, 2012. Order Your copy today for a discounted rate.

What a wonderful year 2013 has been!!!! God has
blessed us to have the opportunity to minister for Him all
over the Country. We have met so many new friends
this year and seen lots of "old" friends as well. Thank
you to every pastor, promoter, music minister, and church
member that has allowed Broken Vessels to bring our
ministry to your congregation. Words can not express
how thankful we are to be able to do what God has
called us to do.
Amidst the joy of the Christmas season, we do have some
sad news to report. Elizabeth has announced that she is
coming off the road at the end of 2013. She told us in
September, but we decided to wait to announce it. We
were secretly (and sometimes not so secretly) hoping that
she would decide to stay on... She had graduated with a
music degree just two months before she joined Broken Vessels, so she has lots of options of what she will do next. One thing that is in her future is a mission trip to Honduras. She has a passion for missions and is excited about making a difference in many lives. She will be going with a team from Evangelistic International Ministries. As you know, anything you do,
including mission trips, takes money. She has to pay for plane tickets, lodging, food, etc... There is a way that you can help her on this venture. She is selling hand-knitted items
including Ruffle Scarves and Bracelets to raise funds for her mission trip. If you have been to any of our concerts recently, you may have seen some of these scarves on our product table. They are beautiful and would make wonderful Christmas gifts You can visit her website Eliza's Hand-Knits to order yours today. We have enjoyed Elizabeth being with us so very much this past year and a half. Words can't express what a
blessing she has been to the ministry of Broken Vessels.
Her beautiful voice and annoiting has been a blessing to thousands,
along with her friendly spirit off stage means so much. I know that
if you had the chance to meet her, you know what a blessing she is. If you would like to write a message to Elizabeth,
you can do so here...
We will miss Elizabeth very much on stage and on the bus. We will have to get used to being a duet again, but we are excited about what 2014 holds for Broken Vessels.
We hope that you all have a very Merry Christmas and a very blessed new year. We look forward to getting to see you and worshiping together. Please pray for our ministry as we continue to spread the good news of the Gospel through song.
